Hyderabad: Movie houses in Telangana are now permitted to run an additional fifth show. Presently, screening of four shows is allowed every day.

Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, speaking to the media after a meeting on issues faced by theatre and single screen owners, on Tuesday said the State government would look into the problems pertaining to theatre owners — waiver of power bills and relaxation in property tax.

Besides making Hyderabad a film hub, the Minister said the State government was optimistic on resolving issues through a single window system.

Several issues pertaining to theatre owners would be brought to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at the earliest and a solution would be taken in this regard, he added.

The State government would take all necessary measures for the development of Telugu film industry.
