Hyderabad: The State Government released Rs.75 crore towards meeting the expenditure for Samakka – Saralamma Medaram Jathara celebrations in 2022. GOMs no. 195 was issued to this effect on Monday evening. The Jathara celebrations will commence from February 16 and will continue till February 19.
Scheduled Tribe, Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for releasing Rs.75 crore for the conduct of Samakka – Saralamma Medaram Jathara celebrations in 2022.
Despite constraints due to covid pandemic, the Chief Minister released Rs.75 crore for the Samakka- Saralamma Jathara and this speaks volume about his commitment for the welfare of tribals and other castes and communities, she said in a statement. Already, foundations have been laid for construction of changing rooms, community dining hall and other facilities with a cost of Rs.2.24 crore. Plans have been laid to complete the works pertaining to other amenities by December end, she added.
