Govt. school teacher booked under POCSO Act in Mahabubabad
Mahabubabad town police registered a POCSO case against Inugurthi Ravi, a social studies teacher at Kankarabod Zilla Parishad High School, following allegations of misbehaviour with girl students. Parents confronted Headmaster Kotya Naik during a meeting, accusing him of failing to act despite assurances.

Mahabubabad: The Mahabubabad town police registered a POCSO case against a teacher working at the Kankarabod Zilla Parishad High School in the town.
The accused Inugurthi Ravi, a social studies teacher at the school, was said to have been misbehaving with girl students for the past ten days and even threatened the students not to tell anyone about his misdeeds.
An argument broke out among the parents and the school headmaster during the parents’ meeting on Friday. One of the parents complained that after coming to know about the teacher’s misbehaviour from his daughter, he took the matter to the notice of the Headmaster Kotya Naik, who assured he would take action but failed to do so even after three days.
Town CI K Mahender Reddy said that based on the complaint by the parents, the teacher Ravi has been booked under the POCSO Act. An investigation is underway.
