The Minister said the flood-affected families in GHMC and 15 other adjoining municipalities who did not receive the flood relief of Rs 10,000 announced by the State government, can now get the aid by submitting an application through nearby Mee Seva centres.

On providing all relevant details, the authorities will verify their authenticity and provide Rs 10,000 at their doorstep or deposit the amount in their bank accounts. The State government disbursed more than Rs 470 crore to 4,75,871 families in GHMC and adjoining municipalities towards immediate flood relief.

“The Chief Minister released Rs 550 crore to provide immediate financial relief to the flood-affected families. Nearly five lakh flood-affected families are benefiting from the gesture. We are giving another opportunities to the flood affected families who did not receive the financial relief announced by the State government and asking them to avail the amount by submitting an application through Mee Seva centres,” Rama Rao added.
