Tadepalli: Alleging that the coalition government is leaving no stone unturned to water-down the cases against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, YSRCP has demanded that the trial should be done outside the State as the scams involve public money.

Speaking to media here on Tuesday, former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy said be it the multi crore scams like Skill Development, Fibrenet, inner ring road alignment, assigned lands in capital region or Margdarsi, the coalition government is putting all its force to tamper with the evidence and weaken the cases.

Chandrababu has been violating the bail conditions by influencing the witnesses and tampering with the records by placing his faithful persons in key positions to weaken and water-down the cases on one hand and has been harassing those who had filed the cases after gathering proper witness, documents and information showing the largescale corruption resorted to by him. In such a situation justice can be done if the trial is held outside the state, he said.

The government has been trying its best in finding out ways on how to save Chandrababu Naidu from the various cases he is facing and has been vindictive on those persons who investigated the cases like DGP PSR Anjaneyulu, CID Chief Sunil Kumar who were suspended and Ramakrishna who probed the Margadarsi case, he said.

In all the departments which has links to the cases, like Skill Development, Fibrnet, CRDA and others Chandrababu has anchored his people who are trying to tamper with the evidence. A lawyer from Delhi was also imported to give expert advice on how to weaken the case.

The court has asked supporting documents in the cases which is being delayed deliberately and the case filed in Supreme Court to cancel Chandrababu’s bail is being prolonged on one pretext or the other as the State was not cooperating, he said.

Chandrababu’s personal assistant, who name figured in the Skill scam, left for the US and was suspended who now came back and was reinstated which shows how the bail conditions are violated, he said.

He has shown the clippings of the evidence in case, from Skill Development scam on how public money routed through shell companies to his people, the out-of-way allotment of tender in Fibrenet case, details of the inner ring road alignment to favour his people, the assigned land scam and the irregularities in Margadarsi issue. In all the cases, evidence was available where blatant corruption and irregularities took place and efforts are on to tamper with the records, he said and demanded that justice would be done only if the case is heard outside the State.
