Nizamabad: Telangana government will never compromise on safety of women, said MLC Kavitha who promised to do justice to Mamatha who was found murdered on October 3 at her agriculture field.

She spoke to Nizamabad CP Karthikeya about the issue on Sunday after Nizamabad district Yadava Sangam members along with TRS party leader Rajaram Yadav met MLC Kavitha at her house in Hyderabad and appealed to her to trace out the case and take severe action against the culprits.


On 3rd October, Puree Mamatha belonging to Nyavanandi village, died near her agriculture field under suspicious circumstances. As Nyavanandi villagers and Yadava Sangam members staged a protest in-front of Sirikonda police station and on NH-44 several times, police registered a case and took up the investigation but have pulled the blank so far.

MLC Kavitha spoke with Nizamabad CP Karthikeya over phone and enquired about the reasons to delay in the case and she urged him to take severe action against the culprits. Later, she interacted with Yadava Sangam members and promised them that the State government was abide by protection of women.

In order to ensure the safety of women in the State, she said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had introduced SHE Teams to protect women from harassment. She assured Yadava Sangam members of providing justice to Mamatha by bringing the culprits to book.
