Khammam: The State secretaries of CPI and CPI(M) parties, Chada Venkat Reddy and Tammineni Veerabhadram appealed to the graduates to support the Left wing candidate in ensuing Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Graduates MLC constituency election.
Speaking to the press persons here on Monday, they said in order to represent the voice of the common people in the State Legislature, the graduates have to support Jayasarathi Reddy who was supported by CPI and CPI (M) in the MLC election.
The Left leaders alleged that the State and Central governments had become indifferent towards the problems being faced by the common public. Hence those who work for the welfare of the public have to be supported, they said.
Venkat Reddy noted that the anti-farmer policies and faulty economic policies of the BJP government at the Centre have caused great damage to the country. The Modi government was working only for the welfare of the corporate forces. Reforms in the power sector and agriculture sector were totally anti-farmer and would severely affect the farming sector. In addition to that the BJP government was also diluting Labour Laws through various amendments, he complained.
Veerabhadram alleged that the ruling parties at Centre and in the State have failed to create employment opportunities for the youth. As a result, serious dissent was brewing among the unemployed youth in the country.
Jayasarathi Reddy said the Left parties’ activists were actively working for the enrolment of the voters. As many as 5.7 lakh graduates have enrolled themselves as voters, he said while appealing to the voters to support him in the election.
