Gram Panchayat Elections: Eleven cases booked against poll code violators in Adilabad
Police booked eleven cases for violations of the model code of conduct during gram panchayat elections in Boath, Sonala and Bazarhathnoor mandals of Adilabad district. The cases include allegations of liquor distribution, cash inducement and unlawful rallies.

Adilabad: Eleven cases were booked for violating the model code of conduct during gram panchayat elections in Boath, Sonala and Bazarhathnoor mandals of Adilabad on Wednesday.
Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy, in a statement, said that a case was registered against Sama Praveen from Dhannora (B) village and MD Zubair at the Boath mandal centre for allegedly distributing liquor to influence electors, while Gorla Gangaiah and Gorla Laxman were booked for allegedly giving cash to electors.
Meanwhile, six cases were booked against those who violated CrPC Section 144 and Section 30 of the Police Act by taking out rallies following their victory in the polls in different parts of Sonala and Boath mandals. A case was booked against Rabde Ramesh for obstructing officials from discharging their duties, while another was registered against Kavinder, Ravinder, Rajender, Kailash, Subhash and Ravi for gathering within 100 metres of a polling station.
