Gram panchayat ward member murders husband in Vikarabad
A newly elected gram panchayat ward member has been accused of killing her husband in Mominpet, Vikarabad district. Police say the man was strangled at home on Friday night, and the woman has been taken into custody.
HYDERABAD: A newly elected gram panchayat ward member allegedly murdered her husband at Mominpet in Vikarabad district on Friday night.
The victim, Ravinder, was married to Manjula, who was recently unanimously elected as the ward member of 8th ward in Maktha Thanda in Mominpet mandal. The elections are scheduled in the village on Sunday.
However, following some family issues, Manjula, the wife of Ravinder on Friday night allegedly strangled him to death at his house in the village. On Saturday morning, the man was found dead in the house.
The police, on information, reached the spot and the investigation found that Ravinder was murdered. A case is registered. The woman was taken into custody.
