Granite businessman murdered in Suryapet
Police suspect that some unidentified persons smashed the victim, Ranganth's head with boulders
Suryapet: Venishetti Ranganath, a granite businessman, was found murdered on the outskirts of Shanthinagar of Ananthagiri mandal in Suryapet district on Monday.
According to police, they received information from local farmers that the body of a man was found in agricultural fields on the outskirts of Shanthinagar. The police shifted the body to government hospital at Kodad for post-mortem. The police suspect that some unidentified persons smashed Ranganth’s head with boulders.
Ranganth, a native of Khammam, owned granite quarries at Khammam and Mahaboobabad. Local farmers informed the police that Ranganath was seen moving in the area with four persons including a woman late on Sunday evening. The police suspect that extra marital affair may be the motive behind the murder.
Ananthagiri police filed a case and took up investigation.
