Hyderabad: Actor Dimple Hayathi joined the Green India Challenge initiated by the Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar and planted saplings at Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Park at Jubilee Hills on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, she stressed the importance of planting and protecting trees to save the environment. She thanked Santosh Kumar for launching the Green India Challenge initiative which aims at improving the green cover in the country.

The actor appealed everyone to plant trees and improve the greenery and environment for the coming generations and for making the country green and clean India.

Further, she nominated actor Ravi Teja, Meenakshi Chaudhary, director Ramesh Varma and music director Sevi Sri Prasad, for the challenge.
