Hyderabad: Taking up the Green India Challenge, international badminton players Krishna Priya Kudaravalli and Tarun Kona planted saplings at their residence in Shankarpalli Mokila, on Tuesday. Indian cricketer Hanuma Vihari had nominated the duo to participate in the challenge, which was launched by Rajya Sabha Member J Santosh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Priya and Tarun Kona shared that they are extremely happy to be a part of the Green India Challenge programme.
Krishna Priya urged everyone to plant the saplings to protect the environment. After planting the sapling, Priya nominated Continental Hospital’s Founder Dr Gurunath Reddy and Director Dr Raghunath Reddy for the challenge. Whereas Tarun challenged badminton player Sai Praneeth to plant a sapling.
MLC Kasireddy Narayan Reddy and family members of Priya also participated in the programme. Green India Challenge co-founder Raghava presented copies of the book, Vriksha Vedam to the duo.
