Hyderabad: One Greyhounds constable died and another was injured when the motorcycle they were riding skidded at Manasa Hills in Rajendranagar here on Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as K.Sudhakar (22), a resident of Vyas Nagar in Gandipet while the injured person was P.Vishnu from Rajendranagar.
According to the police, the two had left the Greyhounds Center at 5.45am for their house on the bike driven by Sudhakar with Vishnu as pillion rider.
When they reached near Manasa Hills at 6.10am, due to the rains on Tuesday night, the bike is suspected to have skidded on the road.
“Sudhakar lost control of the vehicle and both fell on the road. Sudhakar who suffered grievous internal injuries was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” said D.Balraj, SI, Rajendranagar.
The Rajendranagar police have booked a case and have taken up investigation. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue and was later handed over to the family after an autopsy later in the day.
