Grief over husband’s death drives Sangareddy woman to kill her children, end life
A 27-year-old woman from Julkal in Kandi mandal, Sangareddy, poisoned her two children before hanging herself. Her husband had died in a road accident in January, leaving her depressed.

Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, a woman killed her two children by poisoning before hanging herself at her residence in Julkal in Kandi mandal on Saturday. The woman, who was depressed, took the decision after her husband died in a road accident in January this year.
The woman was Mamatha (27) and her two children were Manikanta (5) and Pralaya (4). According to Indrakaran police, the woman’s husband Pentaiah died in a road accident in January this year. Since then, the woman had been in a state of depression.
She found it difficult to lead a life without her husband. Finally, she decided to kill her children. It appeared the woman hanged herself after ensuring her children had died. The police registered a case and the bodies were taken to the government hospital in Sangareddy for postmortem. The incident left the entire village in shock.
