Petition challenging GO 29 to come up for hearing only in the afternoon; aspirants hope apex court rules in their favour

Hyderabad: Suspense over the Supreme Court hearing on the special leave petition filed against the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) on the conduct of the Group-I services recruitment continued on Monday, as the apex court listed it under diary no. 48483/2024 with serial number 37.

As a result the petition is to come up before the court only in the afternoon.

The Group-I aspirants filed the petition challenging the GO 29 issued by the Telangana government, which according to them, violates the Constitution and deprives reserved category candidates of their opportunity for the Mains exam.

Several aspirants expressed hope that the court will rule in their favour and stay the conduct of the examination commencing at 2 pm on Monday.
