Khammam: The record growth rate in per capita income and the GSDP in Telangana was a testament to the efficiency of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s administration, stated TRS Lok Sabha leader and MP N Nageswara Rao.
He opined that Telangana State, which was fought for and achieved under the leadership of Chandrashekhar Rao, was on a path to victory. Soon after the formation of the State of Telangana many aspirations of people were fulfilled.

In a statement here on Friday, Nageswara Rao noted that though Telangana was the 11th largest State geographically and 12th in terms of population in India it stands as a model in the country in terms of development.
Telangana emerged as a leader in the country in terms of per capita income with a growth of 19.1 percent. Though the State’s per capita income (PCI) was 1, 24, 104 crore for the year 2014-15 it shot up to Rs 2,78,833 in the year 2021-22.
Similarly the State achieved a significant growth rate in the gross domestic product (GSDP). The GSDP of Telangana was only Rs 5,05,849 crore in 2014-2015 and it went up to Rs. 11,54,860 crore in 2021-22, the MP explained.
Nageswara Rao emphasised that Telangana was moving forward with the principle of ‘increase revenue and distribute it to the people’. He expressed pleasure at the fact that every rupee received was being distributed to the people in the form of welfare schemes and development programmes.
He said that despite the promises made during the State Reorganisation were not addressed Telangana was developing irrespective of the economic downturn caused by the Covid-19 crisis and non-cooperation from the Centre. It has become possible because of the TRS regime.
