Gudelli Srujana from Telangana clears UPSC with 55th rank
Gudelli Srujana from Telangana secured the 55th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Currently serving as a DSP under training, she emerged as one of the top performers, while several candidates from Telugu-speaking States also figured in the rank list.

Hyderabad: Gudelli Srujana from Telangana has bagged the 55th rank in the Civil Services Examination 2025 results announced by the UPSC on Friday. Hailing from Peddapalli district, Srujana is already serving as a DSP and is currently under training at the Police Academy here.
Anuj Agnihotri, Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull secured the first, second and third ranks respectively.
With the 23rd rank, Jeenu Sri Jaswanth Chandra from Andhra Pradesh stood as the topper among the Telugu-speaking States. About 30 candidates from the Telugu-speaking States are expected to have cleared the examination.
Other top rankers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh include Banoth Laxmi Rachana (178), DSK Prachet (193), S Varshith Reddy (259), Masammagari Pavan Kumar Reddy (297), Sowrotu Ramu (463), Velimineti Vikram Simha Reddy (541), Dhananjaya R (554), and Swetha Gummala (573).
A total of 47,817 candidates applied for the examination from Hyderabad and Warangal, but only 28,209 appeared. The number of aspirants who appeared from Hyderabad stood at 25,787 and 2,422 from Warangal. As many as 14,161 aspirants were declared qualified for the Main Examination.
The UPSC has recommended a total of 958 candidates for appointment to various services including IAS, IFS, IPS, Central Services Group ‘A’, and Group ‘B’ Services. The results were based on a written test held in August 2025 and interviews for the personality test conducted between December 2025 and February 2026.
“The number of aspirants preparing for and appearing in the Civil Services Examination has been showing an incremental increase in the last few years. This is due to increasing awareness and the availability of online resources,” said Gopala Krishna, Director Brain Tree.
The candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, the UPSC said, adding that the results of two candidates were kept withheld. As many as 1,087 vacancies, including 180 IAS, 55 IFS, and 150 IPS, were notified by the UPSC.
