Hyderabad: Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) has opened admissions into MSc programmes through Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT B) scores. The courses offered are Animal Biotechnology, Environment Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology and Plant Biotechnology.
Established by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh, UK, it is the first postgraduate university in India that focuses entirely on biotechnology, according to a press release.
The university will provide a monthly stipend of Rs.5,000 to all eligible students. The last date to apply for the GAT B exam is March 31 and the examination is scheduled to be held on April 23.
