Gutkha worth Rs 4.50 lakh seized, man held in Warangal
The accused had confessed that he had been procuring the banned tobacco products from Bidar in Karnataka, using his personal Etios Car and supplying the same to Kirana shops
Warangal: The Task Force police led by Inspector Ch Srinivas Ji has intercepted a car (TS-07-HF-7383) of Thatipamula Hariprasad at the Outer Ring Road near toll gate under the limits of Dharmasagar police station and seized nine bags of Gutkha (Ambar) from his possession on Saturday.
In a press note issued here, Inspector Ch Srinivas Ji said that the accused T Hariprasad who is a business man and a resident of Vemulapalli village of Mogullapalli Mandal in Bhupalapalli district, had confessed that he had been procuring the banned tobacco products from Bidar in Karnataka, using his personal Etios Car and supplying the same to Kirana shops and other needy sellers in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district.
“The seized property along with the accused has been handed over to Dharmasagar police for further action,” Srinivas Ji added.
