Hailstorms lash erstwhile Medak district, damage crops

Unseasonal rains accompanied by hailstorms and strong winds lashed several parts of the erstwhile Medak district on Monday evening. The rainfall brought temporary relief from heat but damaged maize, vegetables, mango orchards, sunflower and other crops

Sangareddy: Rains coupled with hailstorms and gales lashed several parts of the erstwhile Medak district on Monday evening. The unseasonal rains brought temperatures down across the district, offering people temporary relief from the summer heat.

Andole, Pulkal, Jinnaram and Mogudampally in Sangareddy district, Papannapet mandal in Medak district and Dubbak in Siddipet district received heavy rainfall.


Maize, vegetable crops, mango orchards, sunflower and other crops were damaged due to hailstorms.
