Hanamkonda: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao along with Minister for Welfare Koppula Eshwar handed over vehicles and other assets worth Rs 4.81 crore under the Dalit Bandhu scheme for a total of 51 beneficiaries from the Dalit community of Kamalapur mandal in the district on Thursday. The Kamalapur mandal falls under the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
As part of the distribution programme held at Hanamkonda collectorate, 10 harvesters, two transport vehicles, one auto trolley, two pickup trucks, one earth digger/mover, 16 tractors with rotavatars, two tractors with trolleys have been distributed to the beneficiaries.
“There are a total of 3,893 beneficiaries identified for the Dalit Bandhu. So far, Rs 1,737 crore of assets were distributed in Huzurabad constituency,” he said and ridiculed those who criticised the scheme. He also condemned the comments of the BJP with regard to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s remarks on the constitution of India. Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy, MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, Nannapuneni Narender, District Collectors Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu, Dr B Gopi, Shivalingaiah, Shashanka and others were present.
