Hanamkonda: District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu has directed officials to achieve 100 per cent Covid-19 vaccination in the district with the help of local people’s representatives during the ongoing ‘mega vaccination’ drive. The Collector visited the vaccination centres at Mulkanoor PHC in Bheemadevarapally, vaccination sub-centre at Mulkanoor Gram Panchayat office, Kothakonda, Mallaram and Gatla Narsingapur villages in the district on Friday.
Speaking on this occasion, Rajeev Gandhi said that vaccination should be completed at the earliest across the district. “So far, 73 per cent of vaccination has been completed. Those who take the first dose must take the second dose as well. Vaccination centres are being set up in each Gram Panchayat for the convenience of the people,” the Collector said and urged the people to take vaccination and make the district a Covid-19 free one.
“Asha workers, Anganwadi teachers and staff of the local bodies should see that a sticker is affixed stating that the members of the family above 18 years were vaccinated at each home after completing the vaccination against the Covid-19,” he said and added that a total of 87 sub-centres for vaccination had been set up in the Hanamkonda district.
District Medical Health Officer (DMHO) Dr K Lalitha Devi, ZPTC Vanga Ravi, MPP Anitha, MPDO Sunitha, HEO O Rajeshwar Reddy, Sarpanches and others accompanied the Collector during the inspections of the vaccination centres.
Special Covid-19 vaccination drive organised by RBSK Hasanpartthi at KITS Warangal Campus:
Meanwhile, a special Covid-19 vaccination drive has been organised by Dispensary Section, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, (KITSW) in association with RBSK Hasanparthi in the district at the auditorium of the KITS college.
KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that RBSK Hasanparthi, Team-B, medical officer, Dr M Sunitha had conducted the vaccination drive for the benefit of KITSW students, faculty and staff.
“In the last five days, we vaccinated 560 people. I appeal to all my students to make use of the vaccine facility provided by the Department of Health. I also thank DMHO Dr Lalitha Devi for her support to set up the vaccination special centre on our college premises,” he added.
KITSW health supervisor V. Neelakantam, RBSK HSP team-B: pharmacist S Madhuri, ANM Ch Swaroopa, Associate Professor and PRO Dr Dasaroju Prabhakara Chary were present.
