University leaders emphasised discipline, personal development, and academic flexibility, highlighting faculty achievements, mentoring support, and curriculum reforms aimed at ensuring holistic growth and career readiness
Hanamkonda: SR University, Warangal, organised an orientation programme for the new batch of first-year engineering students and their parents.
Addressing the gathering, the university Chancellor and Chairman of SR Educational Society, A Varada Reddy, stressed the importance of punctuality, discipline, and strong moral values. He said students should dedicate themselves fully during the foundational year, and that parental involvement plays a key role in developing courage, responsibility, and decision-making skills in students.
The university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Deepak Garg, said self-discovery and personal development throughout the four-year engineering programme are key to success. He highlighted curriculum enhancements, exam reforms, elective flexibility, gamification, and individual mentoring policies. He said the university ecosystem is designed to ensure holistic growth and career readiness.
Registrar Dr. Archana Reddy outlined SRU’s achievements in national and international rankings and encouraged students to actively participate in student clubs, technical societies, and co-curricular activities.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. V Mahesh urged students to explore options such as Honours, Minors, and Dual Degree programmes. He noted that over 80 percent of SRU’s faculty are PhD holders actively publishing research papers in reputed journals and securing patents.
