Hanamkonda: Kakatiya Zoological Park at Hunter Road here would soon have a new attraction, as forest officials have brought a white tiger to the zoo.
The 13-year-old white tiger was brought from Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. Two ailing tigers, a male named Shanker and a female named Kareena, at Kakatiya Zoological Park were shifted to Hyderabad zoo twenty days ago.
According to sources, forest officials are making arrangements for the release of the white tiger into the enclosure by Forest Minister Konda Surekha. The white tiger, typically a Bengal tiger, has black stripes like a regular tiger, but its coat is white or near-white.
