Hyderabad: A tense situation prevailed in Rampally village in Keesara on the suburb after unidentified miscreants vandalised a Hanuman idol on Thursday night.
According to available information, the unidentified persons damaged the idol’s left hand and mace, creating outrage among local devotees.
Upon receiving information on Friday, Keesara police reached to the spot and began an investigation.
Forensic teams inspected the area while police personnel collected CCTV footage from nearby houses and shops to identify the offenders.
Meanwhile, the incident sparked anger among residents, who demanded immediate action against those responsible.
As a preventive measure, additional police forces were deployed at the site to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order.
