Hyderabad: BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao on Thursday accused the Congress government of betraying Telangana artistes by failing to fulfil its promise of providing jobs to 1,000 artistes. He said the Congress made the promise to come to power, but had failed to implement it even after three years. The artistes were now questioning the government over the delay, but the Chief Minister and ministers were evading a response, he alleged.
Harish Rao questioned how long Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his Ministers would continue to avoid accountability by resorting to diversion politics and rhetoric. He said the government should stop playing with the lives of artistes and fulfil the commitment made to them.
