Harish Rao calls for reunification of Telangana forces during US visit
BRS leader T Harish Rao, during a visit to the United States, called for the reunification of Telangana forces and urged NRIs to support the party. Addressing Telangana supporters in New York, he recalled the diaspora’s role in the statehood movement and praised community leaders.

Hyderabad: BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao called for the reunification of Telangana forces, emphasising that those who fought for statehood with commitment and sacrifice must always be remembered and honoured.
Speaking at a gathering of Telangana supporters in New York during his personal visit to the United States, Harish Rao said the spirit of the movement should continue to unite people across the world. The event was hosted at the residence of NRI Lakshman Enugu in Long Island and attended by Telangana natives from New York and New Jersey.
Recalling the role of the diaspora during the statehood agitation, Harish Rao said many NRIs extended financial and moral support, despite living abroad. He said several activists and supporters worked tirelessly with the sole objective of achieving a separate State. He urged Telangana proponents in the US to unite and support the BRS, which was the only party fighting for Telangana’s interests.
He appreciated NRI businessman Dr Paila Malla Reddy for supporting Telugu people in the United States by providing employment and livelihood opportunities, and lauded host Lakshman Enugu for organising cultural events such as “Dhoom Dhaam” in the US and promoting Telangana artists, poets, and leaders abroad.
During the interaction, several NRIs reportedly expressed concern over the alleged injustice faced by some movement activists and conveyed dissatisfaction among sections of supporters.
Dr Rajender Reddy Jinna, Srinivas Guduru, Satish Kalva, Sahodhar Reddy, Ravinder Kodela, Haricharan Bibbili, Mallik Reddy, Rama Vanama, Vani Enugu, Usha Mannem, Ranjith Kyatham, Amar Lingala, Sunil Mannem, Thanneru Mahesh, Narasimha Rao, Chandu Talla, Tirupathi Reddy, Srinivas Jakkidi and several other NRIs participated.
