Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS senior MLA T Harish Rao condemned the Congress government’s poor treatment of senior legislator and former Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, calling it shameful and humiliating. He demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also holds the Home portfolio, tender an unconditional apology.
Questioning the government’s respect towards women, Harish Rao criticised the ruling party for allowing a woman MLA to be abused and harassed in the presence of a Minister, that too with police complicity. He demanded immediate disciplinary action against police personnel who behaved inappropriately and showed disrespect towards Sabitha Indra Reddy.
He said the senior legislator was targeted for holding the government responsible for its failure to issue ration cards. Stating that the BRS was not intimidated by such mob attacks, he asserted that the party would continue exposing the Congress government’s failures.
