Harish Rao felicitates educationist Chukka Ramaiah on His 100th birthday

Hyderabad: Former minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao met Chukka Ramaiah, educationist and founder of IIT Ramaiah Study Circle at his residence to extend birthday wishes as the latter stepped into his 100th year.
Harish Rao honoured the centenarian with a shawl and conveyed warm greetings and wished him a long life filled with good health and happiness for many more years. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said, “It is a privilege to celebrate the 100th birthday of Chukka Ramaiah garu and personally convey my wishes.
In Telangana society, Ramaiah garu is a personality respected by everyone, transcending political parties and ideologies.“There is hardly anyone in the Telugu states who does not know him. His contributions to the nation and the field of education are priceless and beyond measure.“Ramaiah garu has produced thousands of engineers who are serving society. He has earned the unique reputation where ‘IIT’ means Ramaiah and ‘Ramaiah ’ means IIT.“
He never craved positions or wealth. He is a noble soul who dedicated his entire life to social service, public welfare, and the greater good of society,” Harish Rao added. The former minister also recalled his long association with Ramaiah, which began when the educationist served as a lecturer at Siddipet Degree College.“His life has been an embodiment of values. Once again, I extend my heartfelt wishes to Ramaiah, his admirers, and well-wishers,” Harish Rao concluded.
