Harish Rao launches TRS membership drive in Siddipet

Siddipet: Enrolling himself as party member again, Finance Minister T Harish Rao launched the membership drive in Siddipet on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the senior TRS leader called upon party leaders and cadre to put up a collective effort to make Siddipet district wing the number one in enrollment of members.

Pointing out that the district had topped in development, he said the party leadership and cadre must show the same spirit while carrying out the party membership drive.

Stating that Siddipet is known as the birthplace of the second phase of Telangana movement, Harish Rao said a number of people from the district sacrificed their lives during the Statehood movement. “Many resigned from various position including Cabinet whenever the party leadership directed them to do so for the cause,” he said.

He called upon party leaders in the district to carry out the party membership drive with the same spirit across the district.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson, V Roja Sharam, MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLC Fariduddin, MLA Husnabad V Sathish Kumar and others were present.
