Jogulamba Gadwal: Health Minister T Harish Rao laid foundation stone for construction of a 300-bed district hospital, a nursing college and also an area hospital in Maldakal mandal in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Wednesday. He also inaugurated a meeting hall constructed to celebrate the bonding of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and farmers in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the BJP leadership appears to have developed a grudge against farmers of Telangana for setting new records in paddy cultivation and putting the State on growth path. He reiterated that the Centre has been purchasing paddy from the States since 1969 and the practice cannot be discontinued. “We do not want the BJP government which is refusing to purchase our paddy and putting our farmers in a fix. The BJP government must be dethroned to ensure that farmers of Telangana do not suffer any further,” he asserted.

Harish Rao stated that the BJP-Sate leaders would pay a hefty price for their deeds. He said the TRS will not sit silent, if the BJP continues to dish out another insult. He also inaugurated the oxen competition being held as part of celebration of Sri Swayambhu Laxmi Venkateshwara Swamy Brahmotsavams.
