Harish Rao moves High Court to quash case against him

BRS MLA and senior leader T Harish Rao has approached the Telangana High Court seeking directions to quash the criminal case registered against him by the Panjagutta Police at the instance of complainant Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud.

Hyderabad: BRS MLA and senior leader T Harish Rao has approached the Telangana High Court seeking directions to quash the criminal case registered against him by the Panjagutta Police at the instance of complainant Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud.

The complaint filed by Goud raised various allegations of interfering with his charitable activities and threatening, intimidating including offences of extortion. Contentions were raised in the petition that the case was cooked up by the complainant who was politically motivated. It was also contended that the complaint was filed with unexplained delay only to trouble the petitioner. Further it was contended that the petitioner was a seven times MLA and that the complaint was filed to tarnish his image.

The case is expected to come up for hearing this week.
