Siddipet: Braving heavy rain, Finance Minister T Harish Rao participated in several programmes in Gajwel on Monday.
The Minister, who arrived at Gajwel to participate in the 106th birth anniversary celebrations of Konda Lakhshan Bapuji, laid the foundation for a community hall that will be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs in Gajwel town.
He has also laid the foundation stone for the Chemist and Druggists Association building. After unveiling the statue of Poet Molla, Harish Rao also issued proceeding for a Rs 25 lakhs grant for the Community hall for Kummari Community.
After garlanding the statue of Konda Lakshman Bapuji, the Minister recalled his services to Telangana. Rao said Bapuji worked for the welfare of backward classes until his last breath.
