Hyderabad: BRS deputy floor leader T Harish Rao congratulated Vadithya Nivedita and Vadithya Akhila, daughters of agricultural labourers from Palugu Thanda in Narayankhed constituency, on securing MBBS seats. The sisters, daughters of Telangana movement activists Vadithya Yadu Naik and Papi Bai, met him at his residence on Sunday.
In a post on X, Harish Rao said their achievement reflected the impact of BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s education policies, including the provision of free and quality education through the establishment of residential schools and the setting up of a government medical college in each district.
The BRS leader said Telangana’s MBBS seats had increased from 2,850 to more than 10,000 under the previous BRS government. He described the sisters’ success as an example of how education policies could transform the lives of children from poor and tribal families, adding that their achievement brought him immense happiness and pride.
He said the sisters’ achievement demonstrated how education and welfare policies could transform the lives of children from disadvantaged communities. He congratulated their parents and wished the sisters success in becoming doctors and providing quality healthcare to the poor.
