Harish Rao presents silk clothes at Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple
As part of Kanyadhan, the Minister has presented Rs 1,11,116 lakh to the Lord Mallikarjuna

Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has presented Silk Vastrams and Mutyala Talambralu to the pressing deity of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, Komuravelly on the eve of Kalyana Mahotsvam on Sunday.
As part of Kanyadhan, the Minister has presented Rs 1,11,116 lakh to the Lord Mallikarjuna while Minister for Industries Ch Malla Reddy has presented Rs 1,11,116 lakh to Medalamma and Kethalamma, the presiding deities and consorts of the Mallikarjuna Swamy on behalf of the Lord. The Celestial wedding has marked the beginning of three month long Jathara at the Temple.
The Kalayanam was performed in the presence of Sidda Guru Manikanta Shiva Charyulu, Peethadipathi of Barshi Mutt Solapur Maharashtra. As a huge number of devotees thronged the Temple to witness the Kalyana Mahotsavam, the temple authorities have provided all the facilities. To restrict the spread of Covid-19, the temple staff have distributed masks to all the devotees. As many as 150 cottages on the premises of the temple remain occupied with devotees. The temple authorities have kept 60,000 Laddus and 20,000 Puliohara packets ready to meet the demand of devotees on the day Lord Kalyana Mahotsavam. Commissioner of Police, D Joel Davis has deployed over 260 Police personnel. ACP Husnabad Mahendar is leading the Police force.
Devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Maharashtra and Karnataka have arrived at the temple. During the next three months,various kinds of rituals will be organised as part of the ongoing Jathara.
TRS whip in Legislative Assembly B Venkateshwarlu, Zilla Parishad Chairperson, V Roja Sharma, SC&ST Commission Chairman Errolla Srinivas, MLA Janagon Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Forest Development Corporation Chairman, Vanteru Prathap Reddy and among others were present.
