Harish Rao says CM misleading public on Musi River project
Harish Rao said on July 20 this year, Revanth Reddy boasted about grand plans for Musi Riverfront development with Rs 1.5 lakh crore, only to deny to have made any such statements during a recent press conference.
Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for misleading the public regarding the Musi River rejuvenation project by making confusing statements and then denying the same. He also questioned the Congress government’s hasty promises, stating that the project’s announcement was akin to “putting the cart before the horse”.
In a statement, Harish Rao said on July 20 this year, Revanth Reddy boasted about grand plans for Musi Riverfront development with Rs 1.5 lakh crore, only to deny to have made any such statements during a recent press conference. He pointed out that the vision document ‘Telangana Growth Story – The Road to One Trillion Dollar Economy’ released by the Chief Minister on September 6, also claims to take up Musi Riverfront development project with Rs 1.5 lakh crore or approximately 18 billion dollars.
“The Musi River project is nothing but a ploy to siphon off public funds without proper planning or even a Detailed Project Report (DPR),” he said, vowing to expose and and stop the Congress government’s conspiracy to loot public funds under the guise of the riverfront project.
