Hyderabad: BRS deputy floor leader T Harish Rao lashed out at the Congress rule in Telangana for neglecting both welfare and development, resulting in growing dissatisfaction among people. He said the governance had turned ineffective, with slogans of “Revanth must go, KCR must return” gaining ground across the state.
Extending wishes to the party cadre on the party Foundation Day celebrations on Monday, Harish Rao said both welfare and development had taken a backseat under the Congress rule. Calling for a political change in the state, he asserted that the party continues to stand with the people during the statehood movement, in the government and in the opposition. He exuded confidence of regaining political ground in the coming years.
He recalled that the BRS was born out of a mass movement that led to the formation of Telangana and later steered its development during a decade in power. He stated that the party transformed an agitating Telangana into a progressive state. He asserted that the BRS continued to stand firmly with the people during the movement, governance, and in the opposition. He called the party a symbol of people’s trust and Telangana’s self-respect.
