Harish Rao submits KLIS barrage data to Ghose Commission, accuses state of withholding documents
BRS MLA T. Harish Rao submitted documents to the Justice Ghose Commission regarding KLIS barrages and accused the state government of withholding key files. He claimed full cooperation but questioned the transparency and intentions of the current administration during the inquiry process.

Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao on Friday met the Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose commission and submitted information available with him pertaining to the approvals and construction of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme barrages- Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla. Later speaking to the media persons, he clarified that since he was no longer in government all the relevant documents were with the state administration.
Rao said he wrote to the Chief Secretary, GAD Secretary, and Irrigation Secretary requesting cabinet decisions and notes but received no response. He submitted a note with the information he had, including details of six cabinet approvals and three legislative assembly approvals related to the Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages.
Rao said he provided documents to the Commission with detailed information on approvals and discussions. As the commission’s work was in progress, he said he cannot disclose further details now but will share them when appropriate. He expressed concern that the government was not sharing requested documents with him, despite his cooperation with the Commission. Rao questioned the government’s transparency and expressed apprehensions that it might be providing misleading information to the Commission.
