Hyderabad: Former Minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao urged Jubilee Hills voters to remember the double-bedroom homes built by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for the urban poor, ending their decades of suffering. He termed the bypoll as a choice between tangible delivery and empty promises.
Speaking at an Atmeeya Sabha with residents of KCR Nagar Double Bedroom Colony in Kollur of Patancheru constituency on Friday evening, Harish Rao said the colony which was named after Chandrashekhar Rao, itself stood as proof of BRS’s commitment to dignity housing.
“Don’t forget the houses KCR gave you,” he told residents, urging them to remind the same to their relatives in Jubilee Hills constituency.
He attacked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for not building a single house in Hyderabad and instead demolishing poor people’s homes under the guise of HYDRAA.
The BRS leader said unlike the Congress leaders who were making false promises for votes, the BRS had not only delivered its promises, but implemented schemes which were not even promised.
He said the ruling Congress failed to deliver Rs 2,500 assistance, Mahalakshmi scheme, gold coins, or scooties as promised. He also alleged that the Congress government increased prices and took commissions while stopping welfare schemes like Bathukamma sarees.
