Hayathnagar youth dies by suicide after girlfriend’s death
A youth allegedly died by suicide in Hayathnagar a day after his teenage girlfriend was found dead in a nearby village. Police say the couple were in a relationship and had earlier attempted suicide together. Investigations are continuing.
Hyderabad: In a tragic sequence of events, a youth allegedly died by suicide after failing to cope with the death of his alleged teenage girlfriend in Hayathnagar on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near Brahmanapalli village in Hayathnagar on a suburb.
According to information available, the victim was identified as Siddagoni Mahesh, was a resident of the same village as the girl. He reportedly poured petrol over himself and set himself on fire near Turkayamjal on the outskirts of Brahmanapalli. He suffered severe burn injuries and died on the spot.
The incident comes a day after a 17-year-old girl was found hanging in Medipalli village of Yacharam mandal.
Following her death, the girl’s relatives lodged a complaint with Pharma City police, alleging that Mahesh was responsible for the circumstances that led to her suicide.
Police sources revealed that the couple had been in a relationship and had earlier attempted suicide together by consuming pesticide, but were rescued and survived at that time.
Cases have been registered in both incidents, and investigations are underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events and circumstances leading to the deaths.
