Combined District batted first and were bowled out for 202 in 35.5 overs, with Afridi top-scoring with 68. Sai Karthikeya shone with the ball, picking up 3 wickets. In reply, Abhirath’s innings, studded with 11 boundaries and 10 towering sixes, along with Aakash’s unbeaten 50, steered Jai Hanuman to victory in just 24.5 overs.
Aekansh stars in Universal’s win
Aekansh’s stellar bowling performance of 5/49 paved the way for Universal’s eight-wicket victory over Satya in the HCA C Division One-Day League on Monday. Satya were bowled out for 191 in 35.1 overs, as Aekansh ran through their batting lineup. Later, unbeaten half-centuries from Yashmith (83) and Tanush Chandra (73) ensured Universal chased the target with ease, reaching 192 in 30 overs.
