Hyderabad: Faiz’s scintillating 149 off 117 balls and Kaleem Baig’s five-wicket haul helped Gunrock secure a mammoth 207-run win over Cosmos in the HCA C Division One-Day League Tournament on Tuesday. Gunrock posted a massive 329/6 in 46 overs, with Faiz’s innings featuring 27 boundaries and 2 sixes, supported by Shreyas’ 50 and Mani’s 46. In reply, Cosmos were bowled out for just 122 in 34 overs. Kaleem Baig was the star with the ball, claiming remarkable figures of 5/16 from 8.5 overs.
Krithik shines for UBI
Krithik Reddy smashed an impressive 160 (20×4, 3×6) in UBI’s 36-run win over BDL in the HCA A Division One-Day League Cum Knockout Tournament on Tuesday. Batting first, UBI posted 275/9 in 50 overs. Despite Krithik’s ton, the rest of the team disappointed, with Koushik Reddy being the pick of the bowlers for BDL, taking five wickets. Later, valiant efforts from Nitesh Reddy (64), Mohul Bhomick (55), and Rahul Singh (42) weren’t enough as the team was bundled out for 239 in 47 overs.
