Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association Ombudsman Justice (Retd) Suresh Kumar Kait passed an order (March 24, 2026) promoting four clubs affiliated to the HCA – Imperial CC, Rohit XI, Sportive XI and Charminar CC – to the A-Division for the season 2026-27.

In his order, Justice Suresh Kumar said that he had disposed of the petition between Imperial CC and Rohit XI CC and Sportive XI and Charminar CC while playing in the B-Division promotion matches, when some issues had arisen between Imperial and Rohit on one hand and Sportive XI and Charminar CC on the other hand regarding players’ eligibility.

“It is agreed between the HCA and the above-mentioned teams that no prejudice will be caused if all the four teams, namely Imperial, Rohit XI, Sportive XI and Charminar CC, are allowed to be promoted to the A-Division for the season 2026-27,” it is informed.

“Therefore, with the consent of the parties, I hereby dispose of the petition, directing the HCA to complete the formality of playing the final between Imperial and Charminar (which was stopped by the order passed by this authority),” it is mentioned.

The Ombudsman directed that the subscription fee shall be paid by all the four teams for the A-Division for the season 2026-27.
