HCA reviews arrangements for IPL matches in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association top brass, including President Amarnath and joint secretary T Basavaraju, held the first pre-planning meeting for IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here on Thursday.
“This is part of the review of arrangements by the HCA for the IPL season to begin from March 28. During the meeting, initial discussions were held regarding security arrangements, crowd management, traffic regulation, coordination with the Fire Department and overall coordination with the police department in preparation for the upcoming IPL 2026 matches scheduled to be hosted in Hyderabad,” said Amarnath.
The officials briefed the police authorities on the expected requirements and logistical planning, and assured that the Hyderabad Cricket Association will work in close coordination with the police and other departments to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the tournament.
“Further planning meetings and coordination with concerned departments will be conducted in the coming days as part of the overall preparations for IPL 2026,” it is said.
Sunil Kumar Agarwal (Councillor), along with Mr Imtiaz Khan, CEO, Mr K Suresh Kumar, DCP, Uppal Zone (Malkajgiri), were present.
