HCA row: Apex council members prevented from entering ground — Vice President John Manoj addressing the press conference at the gate.

Hyderabad: There was total chaos at the Gymkhana when Apex Council members were prevented from entering the ground where they were scheduled to hold the press conference.

This comes after Ombudsman Justice Deepak Verma had temporarily disqualified the Apex Council members, including vice president John Manoj and secretary R Vijayanand on Sunday.

But the Apex Council decried the move of president Mohd Azharuddin saying it is a dictatorial attitude. “We came to announce the schedule but we were prevented to do so. This is not cricket and destroying the careers of many young cricketers,” he said. Vijayanand added that Justice Verma did not have the approval in the Apriĺ 11 AGM.
