Hyderabad: A fine spell by Subham Tripathy, who claimed six wickets for 12 runs, was one of the highlights of the HCA Under-16 two-day selection matches here on Saturday.

In the match between Teams H and G, Team H were bowled out for 65 in 34.4 overs, with Tripathy returning impressive figures of 6/12. Team G reached 129/4 in 40 overs, with Ch Anirudh unbeaten on 62.

In the Bengal Under-23 men’s team’s tour match against Hyderabad, the hosts made 349/9 in 79.5 overs, with Wafi Kachchhi top-scoring with 94. Shiladitya Mondal (3/72) and Yudhajit Guha (3/74) were the pick of the Bengal bowlers.

Bengal were bowled out for 221 in 67.3 overs, with Chandrahas Dash scoring 89 and Shashank Singh making 32. Nishanth Saranu (3/32) and Pranav Varma (3/63) took three wickets each for Hyderabad. The match ended in a draw.

In another Under-16 selection match, Team K made 343 in 74 overs, with Aaryan Rath narrowly missing a century after scoring 99. Smyan Bharajwaj made 57, Pendyala Rohit 49 and Sidharth Kolatam 33. Sai Tanishq C (3/46) and GN Siddhartha (3/40) were the leading wicket-takers for Team L, who finished the day at 26/2 in 10 overs.

Team F scored 219 in 51.1 overs, with Medhansh Agarwal making 76, G Prasanna Kumar 68 and Narek Koka 41. P Tanush Chandra (3/45) and Venkat Sashreek (4/57) shared seven wickets for Team E, who reached 140/1 in 39 overs. G Rakesh Sekhar was unbeaten on 67, while B Amarnadh Reddy made 71.

Team A were bowled out for 70 in 28.5 overs, with V Jagath Roshan scoring 34. Karan Golla (4/21), M Aryan (3/6) and Arush Ainchwar (3/1) were the main wicket-takers for Team B, who reached 71/3 in 23.2 overs.

Team D posted 178/7 in 55 overs, with Rudra Rao unbeaten on 37, Gopala Varun scoring 34 and Trishik Gupta making 31. G Parthiv Varma took 3/17 for Team C.

Team J were bowled out for 121 in 58.1 overs, with N Sai Anurag Rathod scoring 38. Harsh Gandra took 4/34. Team I reached 103/3 in 31.5 overs, with C Tej Charan scoring 42.
