Hyderabad: A head constable working with the Hyderabad Women Safety Wing went missing on Saturday.
The policeman, Suresh, works at the women safety wing head office at Basheerbagh and had left the office in the evening but did not reach home.
As the policeman did not reach home, the family got apprehensive and approached the police, who then checked the footage of the surveillance cameras and tracked him till Buddha Bhavan, Tank Bund. From that point onwards, the police could not track him due to darkness in the area. Subsequently, they registered a case and launched an operation to trace him.
It is learnt that Suresh was having some issues with his colleague and had also complained about it to the concerned higher officials. However, no attempt was made allegedly by the officials to inquire into the complaint and address the issue.
The young policeman reportedly slipped into depression and a day earlier quietly left the office, while leaving his two-wheeler and lunch box in the office.
