Hyderabad: The Telangana Gazetted Headmasters’ Association has urged the School Education department to cancel the proposed complex meetings scheduled for the month of August, citing disruption of classwork due to holidays.
In a representation to School Education director, Dr E Naveen Nicolas, association president P Raja Bhanu Chandra Prakash and general secretary G Hema Chandrudu said schools’ functioning was severely affected due to regular and optional holidays, along with additional closure owing to heavy rains. Furthermore, academic instructions were affected for multiple days due to conduct of the teaching-learning material melas.
“Now, another two days of interruption are being scheduled in the name of complex meetings. In these circumstances, it has become extremely difficult for teachers to ensure uninterrupted teaching and to complete Formative Assessment–II by the stipulated deadline of September 20. So, we request the department to cancel the proposed complex meetings for the month of August,” they added.
