Nirmal: A master health checkup programme was organised for policewomen and female staffers of the department in the district headquarters hospital on Monday.
In a press statement, in-charge Superintendent of Police Ch Praveen Kumar informed that steps were being taken to provide all amenities for women police in all police stations. He said that women cops were neglecting their health and were diagnosed with a wide range of diseases. He requested them to practice jogging, yoga and other activities to stay physically fit.
The IPS officer further advised the policemen to prevent the consumption of adulterated food. He suggested that they should check their health status every three months. He told them to consult doctors and to take prescribed drugs to prevent diseases. He urged them to bring challenges to his notice at the workplace. He stated that toilets were already created. He added dress change rooms and restrooms would be created at every police station soon.
