Heavy inflows into projects as rain continues in Telangana

In the last 24 hours, Jurala and Srisailam Dam received 1,11,072 cusecs and 1,50,494 cusecs of water respectively.

Heavy inflows into projects as rain continues in Telangana

Hyderabad: All major water bodies and irrigation projects including Priyadarshini Jurala Project and Srisailam Dam in Krishna basin and Kaddam and Vattivagu in north Telangana are receiving huge inflows following incessant rains for the last few days. Inflows are expected to increase significantly with the MeT department forecasting more rainfall in the next few days.

In the last 24 hours, Jurala and Srisailam Dam received 1,11,072 cusecs and 1,50,494 cusecs of water respectively while Kaddam and Sripada Yellampally projects got 8,699 cusecs and 9,032 cusecs respectively. Nizamsagar project, however, has not reported any inflows, officials said.


Vattivagu in Asifabad has received 1458 cusecs of water till 8.30 am on Wednesday due to continuous rainfall.
